What Is GIS?
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a computer-based tool for mapping and analyzing things that exist and events that happen on earth. GIS integrates common database operations such as query, reporting and statistical analysis with the unique visualization and geographic analysis benefits offered by maps. GIS technology lets you see, explore and analyze data by location, revealing hidden patterns, relationships and trends.
All maps are in PDF format and can be viewed and printed from your home computer. Maps can also be printed from the County office for a fee.
