Solar Street Light - installed
The solar street light in Round Hill has been installed.
As you know because of where we live in the world a normal solar light 40-54w will not work in our cold weather climate.  As such, the County has been working with Enertia Engineering who came up with a pro-type solar light.  It has a 85w solar panel and a lithium battery.  It is the 1st of its kind in Alberta, which is pretty exciting as other municipalities will be watching to see what it does.   The County will be responsible for any maintenance / operational costs.

Cost Summary

Light and pole -$3750

Cement precast base - $3500

Remove brush - $624.45

Total cost - $7874.45

Conventional urban street light (brush clearing) - $10,624.45
