A FIRE ADVISORY is now in effect for Camrose County EFFECTIVE May 8th, 2024 at 1200 hours. 

Reminder, it is always essential to use caution with conducting any open burning.

New FIRE PERMITS will now be issued @ www.county.camrose.ab.ca

Fireworks permits are available for application through Camrose County’s website @ www.county.camrose.ab.ca

The following are PERMITTED during this Fire Advisory:

  • Burning barrels equipped with a metal mesh screen
  • Safe wood campfires in approved fire pits on private lands and in campgrounds
  • Portable Fire Pits and Patio Heaters fueled by natural gas or propane
  • Cooking Appliances (Barbeques, Coleman Stoves) which are fueled by liquid propane or natural gas, including Charcoal (Briquette)
  • Pellet Style Electric Smokers
  • Catalytic or Infrared style heaters

Off-Highway Vehicles can start wildfires – check frequently to ensure hotspots are free of debris, and make sure mufflers and spark arrestors are working properly.

Never leave any fire unattended. Soak it, stir it and soak it again until cool to the touch to ensure it is extinguished.

The Fire Advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
