A development permit is needed for a new structure (residence, garage, deck, etc), change to a structure (addition or renovation), demolition of a structure, portable building moved on or off a property, and businesses (home based or commercial or industrial) additions or changes.
A development permit application will require a completed form, a completed site plan, a copy of any building plans, signatures of all landowners, a development fee, and additional authorizations if the development is close to a highway, or near an abandoned well, etc. Camrose County Planning Staff are available to help you through the process. The fee is dependent on the type of development (permitted or discretionary), and the value of the development, and will typically range from $50.00 to $200.00.
