Health and Safety Committee

Purpose

• Forum for constructive and regular dialogue between management and workers
• Is an advisory body dedicated to improve the health and safety conditions of the work environment, resolving health and safety issues, and promoting the Health and Safety Program

Meetings

• Meetings are held quarterly on the second Monday in February, May, August, and November

Membership

• Will meet the standards of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act and the IUOE Union Agreement with membership from each department and a balance of workers and management
• At least 1 elected official
• The Safety Coordinator
• At least 1 seasonal employee during the summer
