The Agriculture Service Board is a Committee of Council that acts as an advisory body to assist Council and the Minister of Agriculture in matters of mutual concern.  They advise on and direct weed and pest control and soil and water conservation programs.  They assist in the control of livestock diseases under the Livestock Diseases Act.  They promote, enhance and protect viable and usstainable agriculture with a view to improving the economic viability of the agriculture producer.  They promote and develop agricultural policies to meet the needs of the municipality.
