Public Hearing Bylaw 1500
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BYLAW 1500
The purpose of Bylaw 1500 is to rescind the Camrose County Intermunicipal Development Plans (IDP) with Leduc, Ponoka, and Wetaskiwin Counties.
The Camrose County Intermunicipal Development Plans with Leduc, Ponoka and Wetaskiwin Counties were prepared to comply with the Municipal Government Act (MGA). Section 631(2) of the MGA no longer requires municipalities that have common boundaries to adopt an IDP with each other if they agree that they do not require one. Camrose County and Leduc, Ponoka and Wetaskiwin Counties agree an IDP is not required. They also agree the Municipal Development Plans of the respective municipalities will fulfill the core functions and benefits of an IDP and therefore are proposing to rescind Camrose County Bylaws 1402, 1403 and 1413 the IDPs. Leduc, Ponoka and Wetaskiwin Counties are also in the process of rescinding their matching bylaws.
Anyone affected by this Bylaw may make written submissions before 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2021. The Public Hearing for By-law No. 1500 will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the County Council Chambers, 3755 – 43rd Avenue, Camrose, Alberta T4V 3S8. Written submissions will be heard first, oral submissions will be heard as time permits.
