This is a ‘must-attend’ event!
Patrons come from far and wide to experience the fresh,
handmade taste of authentic Ukrainian foods.
All dishes are made by local community members and volunteers.
On the menu:
Borscht – traditional beet soup with mainly root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, beans, peas, vinegar, and dill)
Kutya – A wheat and poppyseed dish
Variety of Salads starters – pickled onions, cucumbers, cottage cheese, pickles…
Perishky – Small dough buns with cream dill sauce (usually filled with mashed potato or cottage cheese)
Holobtsi – Cabbage rolls (filled with rice, and sometimes bacon)
Pyrohy – potato and cottage cheese-filled perogies
Kapusta – Cooked Sauerkraut
Nachynka – Cornmeal cream dish
Nalysnyky -Crepes filled with cottage cheese with a cream sauce
